National Service Scheme Report (2025-26)
GOVERNMENT
COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, PALI
The National service Scheme (NSS) is a central sector
scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It
provides opportunity to the students to take part in various government led
community service activities & programmes. The sole aim of NSS is to
provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. On 1st August 2017, NSS unit was started
with 100 volunteers in Govt. College for Women Pali, Rewari. Two types of
activities are conducted in NSS- Regular activities (120 hours) and Annual
Special Camp (120 hours). All the volunteers have to serve in NSS for at least
2 years for 240 hours to get certification from the university under the
signature of Vice Chancellor and programme coordinator.

Special 7
days Camp
In Government College for Women, Pali, Rewari, seven-day special NSS Camp was organized by NSS Cell from 25th Jan, 2026 to 31st Jan, 2026 in community centre of Gothra village with 50 volunteers. The camp was inaugurated by Sh. Surender Kumar, Sarpanch of the Gothra village. The camp was started with the singing of NSS Song. During the camp following activities were conducted: -
1) During this camp rallies were organized on various issues including Drug abuse, Road safety, and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, in adopted villages by NSS cell.
2) Extension lectures were organized on several topics including women empowerment, our growing Indian economy, road safety, modern women balancing between tradition modernity, carrier opportunities for women in Indian forces etc.
3) Several competitive activities were conducted on slogan writing, poster making, best out of waste, debate, dance etc.
4) Cleanliness and plantation derive.
5) Educating aged villagers, donating clothes to the needful, yoga practice to promote health awareness.
